A belated and quick note on Memorial Day

Here's a link to another article from Mark Steyn. I can't praise him enough. He's a brilliant writer, and I only rarely disagree with what he says.

Which I guess proves what a genius he is, right?

Anyhow, here it is. A little perspective on things.

Mark Steyn definitely says it better than I could ever hope to. It just shows the glaring differences between our society today and society in the past. I feel it's really a sad situation.

Growing up in the military life I've never taken for granted those who are in the service. It angers me to see those so flippant about it. What you said about not expecting thanks, those are the type of men and women that are best serving us because they DON'T do it for the recognition.
